Our philosophy in the conservation of lacquer is understanding historical techniques, materials and social context and use modern methods and materials that successfully replicate the lacquer finish, without compromising the historical finishes of the piece. We also offer traditional urishi techniques where this is essential.

Recent Items include early twentieth century 12 panel deco lacquer screen, 19th century Korean marriage chest and thirteenth century Himalayan Buddha, all restored using traditional methods.
